About the Role

  • House Supervisors manage the day-to-day operations of Residential Care homes. This is a management role, and you will be required to work directly with the clients. You will work together with the support team and young person to create a safe environment, build rapport and help develop independence.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide person-centred, high-quality support in line with individual support plans
  • Support a client with high intensity needs, including behaviour management
  • Assist with personal care and daily living tasks
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date progress notes
  • Work collaboratively with families and other professionals

We’re looking for someone who:

  • A high level of interpersonal skills including the ability to consult and negotiate with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in supporting people with a disability within a positive and therapeutic frame work.
  • Strong administrative skills.
  • An understanding Residential Youth Work and NDIS.
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong staff-management skills, including conflict resolution and performance management.
  • Strong communication skills, including verbal and written.

To be successful, you’ll need:

  • Completed a Cert IV in Disability or similar qualification.
  • All four Residential Care Skill Sets (Top Up Units)
  • Full Victorian Drivers’ Licence.
  • Current Working With Children Check.
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening check (or willing to obtain).
  • First Aid and CPR Certificate (or willing to obtain).
  • Administration of Medication (or willing to obtain).
